Here's hoping you're having a great Colombus Day! However, if you, like me, are the average American working John or Jane, I bet YOU don't get the day off with pay. So tell me, why are we, the American tax paying public, giving our government employees a paid day off? Why is Columbus Day a federal holiday? And why in this time of economic turmoil are we wasting good money after bad by paying government employees NOT to work. I'm a veteran and I don't even get Veteran's Day off with pay!
